Also attending were Convocation Hall, University of Toronto when the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Education) was The UCW of Knox United Church, Belgrave held its general meeting on Nov. 25 in the school room of the church. President Mary Hunter opened the meeting with a poem. The worship service using the theme "Mary's Christmas" was led by Mabel Wheeler and Louise Bosman. A solo, "In the Bleak Mid-Winter" sung by Lisa Alexander and accompanied by Anne Spivey was enjoyed. The minutes were read and adopted. The treasurer's report was given by Wilma Higgins. Annual reports were given by secretary, Edith Vincent, the Social Committee by Linda Campbell, the Archives prepared by Olive Bolt and read by Louise Bosman and in Church Services by Thelma Pletch. The budget for 1994 was presented by Louise Bosman. Donations for the boxes for shut-ins are to be taken to the home of Ruth Johnston by Dec. 13. The meeting closed with the singing of "Joy to the World", prayer by Kay Roberts and the repeating of the Mizpah Benediction. Lunch was served by the social committee. UCW donates to Friendship House in God. The UCW will meet Dec. 1 at 6:30 for their Christmas pot luck supper.
