Award from Don Dodds, leader of the Central Huron Swine
Club at the Huron County 4-H Awards Night in Clinton Nov.
26. The award goes to the member with the highest points
showing a Yorkshire pig. Brian also won the National Trust
Award as champion 4-H swine showman at Seaforth Fair.

The UCW of Knox United
Church, Belgrave held its general
meeting on Nov. 25 in the school
room of the church. President Mary
Hunter opened the meeting with a
poem. The worship service using
the theme "Mary's Christmas" was
led by Mabel Wheeler and Louise
Bosman. A solo, "In the Bleak
Mid-Winter" sung by Lisa
Alexander and accompanied by
Anne Spivey was enjoyed.
The minutes were read and
adopted. The treasurer's report was
given by Wilma Higgins. Annual
reports were given by secretary,
Edith Vincent, the Social
Committee by Linda Campbell, the
Archives prepared by Olive Bolt
and read by Louise Bosman and in
Church Services by Thelma Pletch.
The budget for 1994 was presented
by Louise Bosman. Donations for
the boxes for shut-ins are to be
taken to the home of Ruth Johnston
by Dec. 13.

Kay Roberts, Donna Shaw, Linda
Campbell, Doris Michie and Ruth
Gordon.
The meeting closed with the
singing of "Joy to the World",
prayer by Kay Roberts and the
repeating of the Mizpah
Benediction.
Lunch was served by the social
committee.
UCW donates
to Friendship
House in God.
The UCW will meet Dec. 1 at
6:30 for their Christmas pot luck
supper. Members are asked to bring
paper or personal products to give
to Survival Through Friendship
House in Goderich.
