June 11 at the home of Mrs. George Messenger with 26 ladies and 'four visitors present. The meeting was conducted by- the president Ruth Farrel in the chair. Ruth opened the meeting with a reading. The minutes of the last meetingwere read by Norma Humphrey : and the roll call was answered by bringing a friend to the meeting. The:Kountry Kitchen Bazaar was discus- sed and there will be clothes for Cabbage Patch dolls at the bazaar. Stokes conducted a lively debate on the issue of ordaining declared homosexuals in the United Church. Rev. Stokesspoke on the issue saying there are many people who are misinformed about a homosexual's lifestyle and understanding is required to. resolve this issue. The guest speaker, Janet Pearson Roth. of Evanston, Illinois gave an interesting talk on the seminary where her husband, Dean is a student.
