Elizabeth. Stewart Stothers of Rockwood
`Terrace, Durham, formerly of Lucknow
died at Durham Memorial Hospital on
December 7, 1984 in her 90th year.
• Amember of Lucknow United Church
and a 'former dedicated member of . Ash-
field Presbyterian Church, she was born in
Huron Township, on February..21, 1985, a
daughter of.the late. David M. Stewart and
Katherine MacDonald, both of Huron
Township.
She is survived by a son, Dan Rose and
his wife, Ruth of Markdale and three
grandchildren, David, Alison and . Sheila.
Fivestepchildren also survive; :Agnes
Bradbury .of Hutton Rudey, England; Eliz-
abeth Passmore of Grand ` Forks,, B.C.;

She was predeceased by her . first
husband, Dan Rose in 1934,, and her
second husband, Stephen' Stothers in 1972.
She was also predeceased by two brothers.
David and. Bain Stewart.
The ,funeral service was held December
10, 1984 at 2 p.m. at the MacKenzie and
McCreath Funeral Horne in Luckncy`
conducted by Rev. Paul. Dempsey. An-
nesley United Church; MI4 .
Pallbearers were Finlay MacDonald,
Kenneth MacDonald, Donald Simpson,
Jim Schultz, Donald MacKinnon and
George Anderson.
Burial followed in Lochalsh Cemetery,
where piper David MacDonald played the
lament, Hector The Herd and The Road to
the`•Ikle, following; the graveside service.
Don and Sherry Alton, Vanessa, Heath-
er, Sandra and Kathryn enjoyed Christmas
.Sunday, December 16, with Bill and
Marion Reynolds of Ridgetown.

daughter of Ken and Joyce Nicholson of
Shelburne, on Saturday,. December 22, at
Orangeville.
The Livingstons and Kemps .celebrated
the Livingston Christmas in Orangeville on
December 16 at the home of Harold, Elsa
and Serena Livingston.

A panel of judges spent more than four
hours studying the artistic efforts. They
decided on three winners and an honourable
mention.

Maurer, 11, of Stephen Central School; Lin-
da Wiebe, 17, of Goderich' and District Col-
legiate Institute; honourable mention, Patti
Jo Linder, 19, of R.R.1, Sebringville.,

Two 'Lucknow area youths found guilty
on charges of theft over $200 and break and
enter,Nreceivedsuspended sentences and
three years probation, when they appeared
in Walkerton Provincial Court December 6.
They were .charged following an investi-
gation by Kincardine OPP of some 22.

were also told to pay restitution.
Three Lucknow women were injured in a
car accident, when the driver lost control of
the vehicle' in loose snow and the car
entered a ditch and rolled over. Lillian
Abbott and Elaine Steer were treated at
Wingham and District Hospital and releas-
ed, while Shirley ,Hawthorne remained in
hospital for treatment.
Lucknow Tractor Pullers recognized the
volunteer support of individuals and local
businesses over the past five years at a
dinner and dance, December 15. Approxi-
mately 125 attended as guests of the
association. The Lucknow Tractor Pullers
Association has donated a total of $23,272
tocommunity service projects during the
five year period it has held pulls.
