Congratulations to Donna and Scott
Crichton of Port Carling on . the birth of a
baby boy,. a wee brother for Angela and a
' grandson for Donald and Shirley Hackett.
Confirmation was held at Trinity United
Church on- Sunday. Those joining the
church were Donna Raynard, Nancy.
Hunter, Donna Scott, Jamie Alton and
Scott Hackett. Bill Andrew, clerk of the
session,- presented certificates and wel-
comed them into the church.
Lillian and Russell Irvin hosted , the
Blake, Irvin and Cranston Christmas party
Saturday evening when all families of Cora
Cranston, Helen and Howard Blake and
Russell and Lillian 'Irvin attended.
Get well wishes to Clayton Alton who
returned home from ' London Hospital
following knee surgery.

pot luck supper
On November 13 Trinity U.C.W. held
their annual pot luck supper.
Following the delicious meal, a, short
devotion was led by Mrs. Jim Hunter and
assisted by Mrs. Murray Irvin. The topic
was, To -morrow Is Not Promised Us.
A listof officers for the coming year was
read, followed by remarks andprayer by
Rev. Arthur Scott.
A short skit was presented by four of the
members and Mrs. Alex Hackett gave a
reading, This Is The Church Supper, Girls.
An exchange of 'gifts brought an enjoyable
evening .to a close.

Joynt, to express council's concerns, and it
was agreed the, wording of the newspaper
advertisement should be changed for the
November 21 issue, to say the meeting was
being .held to discuss the location of the:
' sewage treatment facility in West Wawa -
nosh township only.
Councillor Murray said the chairman of
the meeting would be instructed to explain
to the meeting before, it began that only
questions pertaining to the West Wawa-
nosh location would be entertained. Ques.,
tions addressing the concerns of Lucknow
ratepayers . pertaining to the cost of the
project will be addressed at an open
meeting once the West .Wawanosh site is
approved.
Collect for UNICEF
Lucknow and Kinloss Central Public
School pupils and generous citizens of the
area have made possible the largest
UNICEF collection in many years.
UNICEF has many programs to save
lives in developing countries. One program
is Oral Rehydration Therapy 'which has
halved deaths among children under two
years in Honduras. In some village of
India, infant deaths have, also been halved
in less than two years, by use of this
program.
Lucknow CGIT members who prepare
the boxes and count the money, appreciate
all who helped to make UNICEF programs
possible.
