its road system • and receive normal road

maintenance. However, construction of the
•road is not the municipality's responsbility.
• Motion by councillors Todd. and Wind -
ley, That the Township of West Wawanosh
hereby authorizes the building inspector to
issue building permits to R. Aylesworth
(house addition); R. Iviacernstie (shed ad-
dition); and D. Boel (garage).
The road superintendent discussed with
council the letter from Maitland Engineer-
ing Services regarding the drainage
problem at lot 19, concession 4, noting that
the owner of the adjoining farm (A.J.
Sherwood) •had received a copy of the
letter.
• Road accounts in the amount of
$8,683.30 were ordered paid on motion of
councillors Raynard and Hickey.
The clerk gwas directed to write the
Ministry of Transportation and Communi-
cations proposing an approximate increase
of 5 per cent to $680.00, for the rental
charge for office space in the works garage
for the years 1983, 1984 and 1985.
Applications for loans for tile drainage
received from J. Hickey and W. Stalenhoef
were, approved by council on a motion by
Councillors Todd and Brindley.

Lane Gardner returned home from
Calgary last week where he attended the
• fall meeting of the R.C.N.A. 'directors,
which was held at H.M.C.S. Tecumseh. A
trip to Banff and a western barbeque was
sponsored by the Calgary R.C.N.A. Club.
• Lane met a wartime shipmate, and also
visited with Keith and 13111 Gardner,
formerly of Lucknow. -

manufacturers to produce a sample, if
possible, for council's examination.

Planning Department of Huron County
regarding a Secondary Plan for West
Wawanosh.

bring to the ratepayers' attention the
• proposed financing of the new $900,000
arena for Lucknow through a debenture
• issue by the townships. The clerk was
• directed to advertise the date and site of
the meeting in two papers for two weeks.
