Lucknow couples acttend Seymour wedding. .
Mr.. and Mrs. A. J. Wilson, Mr, and
Mrs. Andrew Ritchie. and Mrs,. Graydon
Ritchie spent the weekend of October 13 in
Oakville and Burlingto ji, at the Chendeml.
and Seymour wedding'. The Seymours are
cousins of the Ritchies. Unfortunately
Andrew Ritchie 'was not able toattend the
wedding after suffering a heart attack. He
was admitted to the Joseph Brant Hospital
in Burlington where he will remain a
patient until .he is well enough to be
transferred to the Wingham and District
Hospital. We wish Andy a speedy recov-
ery.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Brady and -Vincent of
Kerwood visited .over the weekend with
their aunt, Mrs. William Hogan of
Lucknow.
Daisy Irwin and son, Wayne of Nash-
ville, Tennessee were dinner guests on
,Monday with Mildred and Spence Irwin
while visiting other relatives in Lucknow
and Goderich for two weeks.
Celebrating with. Bill Forster on his
eighty-fifth birthday this past week were
Kathleen and Walter Elliott, Johne and
Rena Forster, Ron and. Joan Perrot,. Lorne
and Inez Forster, Ross and Irma Henden
son and Norman and Norma Stewart.
Mr. and Mrs. Dave Broulette of Toronto
visited with their grandmothers, Mrs. Neil
MacKenzie this past weekend. •

Susan and Jim McNaughton attended
the Burma Star Reunion at the downtown
Holiday Inn in. Toronto from October 12 -
14. The two Canadian sguadraons, who
flew unarmed Dakota DC3s behind Japan-
ese lines to dropfood and ammunition to
British and: Indian troops have held a
reunion every year since the war. For that
weekend there were 200 men and their
wives attending. After 40 years the bonds
were still as strong. Many endured the
malaria fever, jaundice; dysentry and high
poisonous cobras that made the war, so
different from • the one in Europe.
Visiting over the weekend with Omar
and Dora Brooks were Wayne and Judy
Brooks of Cambridge Preston and Sandra
Brooks of Toronto. They. also attended an
early Christmas dinner at •.the home of
Marie and Barry • Haldenby and family.
Christmas was held early as .Dora and
Omar are leaving for Florida for the 'winter
months. Also attending 'and visiting over
the weekend with Marie and Barry were
his parents, Mr: and Mrs. Harold Holden -
by and Sheila Smith and daughter from
Sarnia. .
Barb and Ron Machan, who have .operat-
ed the Home Hardware in Lucknow for a
number of years, have sold their business
to, Dick and Dixie Askes of Lucknow. We
wish `Dick success fin his new business.
