Church in Kingsbridge on September 22,

officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr'.
and Mrs. 'Winston Allen of Holyrood and
the groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs.
Charles, Murray of R. 1, Holyrood. Barb
Maize, friend .of the .bride; Kitchener, was
maid of honour and Marlene Murray,
friend ,of the 'bride, • Lucknow,. Joanne
Murray, sister of the groom, R. 1;
Holyrood and Betty -Anne Murray, sister of

Paul Joseph Franken of R. 2, Auburn and
Liirraine Ruth McClinchey of R. 1, Auburn
were married. at St. Augustine Roman
Catholic Church on Saturday, October 13,
1984 by. Father Frank Dentinger. The
groom is the, son of Emma Franken and the
late John Franken of R. 2, Auburn and the
bride is the daughter of "Mr. and Mrs.
David McClinchey of R. p, Auburn. Susan
McClinchey, sister of the bride, Auburn
was maid ;of honour. Anita Bromley, friend
of the bride, Blyth and Maryanne Franken,
sister of the groom, Auburn were brides-
maids.. Jenny Cook, cousin of the bride,
Glencoe, was flower .girl. Mike Franken,
brother_ ofthe groom, Auburn, was. best
man and guests were ushered by David
Franken, brother of the, groom and David
McClinchey, brother of the bride, Auburn.
A reception followed at the Blyth Commun-
ity Centre.. The couple honeymooned in the
Barbadoes before taking up residence in

Lords Brooinball team defeated the God-
erich Oarsmen 3 -• 0. Scoring for the. Lords
were Greg Hackett, Steve Howard aid Jim
Van Osch; who scored while the Lords were
playing tWo, men short.
Seniors euchre

At the Seniors Wednesday night euchre,
10 tables of cards were played. High lady
was Donna' Powell; low lady was Shelley
Powell. High man was. Eldon Culbert and
low man was Lloyd Walters, Thanksgiving
pumpkin, winners were Margaret MacDon-
ald and 'Clarence Allin. •
At the Monday night card games Mary
Stewart won the, door prize.

CGIT rally
Seventy -five Tri -County ,CGrIT girls and
leaders celebrated CGIT Week by attend-
ing a Rally at Wingham United Church on
Saturday,October 20. Groups attended
from Kincardine, Pine River, Dungannon,
Lucknow, Atwood, Corrie and Wingham.
The theme was "Young and Alive in
'85" and was a kick-off for Jamboree Camp
'85.
After a Get -Acquainted Game, everyone
enjoyed a sing song. D'Anne Mitchell, a
camp council '84 delegate, led in a fun
song and her Pine River group taught the
Jamboree Song which was written by
former mernbers for Jamboree '80. VVor-
ship was on the theme "Friends".
Group/leaders led four workshops during
the day: songs and games, slide making,
Jamboree name tag craft and film discus-
• sion, "The Shopping Bag Lady".
•'After lunch each group presented a
tamp skit. A liturgal dance to Shalom was
learned before the day ended with Taps.

The Lucknow and District Horticultural
Society meeting was held on October 17 at
the Legion Hall. Mrs. Harvey Webster
accompanied 12) Canada at the piano.
Mary MacGillivray, the president, wel-
coined all and read a poem, Autumn
•Passes. The secretary, Ruth • Bogues,
conducted the business and read the
• minutes of the last meeting. The treasur-
ers report was given byl Mrs. Alex
Andrew. • ) •
• Plans- are being made 'for the annual
meeting and banquet on November 23.
• Margaret Mole chaired the meeting for
• the program. Mrs. Cliff Purdon displayed
her collection of handkerchiefs as well as a
'beautiful quilt made from twelve of them.
• Mrs. Linskil played several .numbers on her
• accordian which everyone enjoyed. Mrs.
Tilbrook displayed her lawn chairs and )
explained how she covered them• .
Joan Robinton auctioned off the surplus
of vegetables and flowers. A healthy sum
was gained by the auction.
Lunch .was served by the committee,
Margaret -Mole, Peg' Purdon, Susan Mc- -
Naughton, and Beryl Hunter.
