Daniel Henderson of Waterloo spent a
week visiting with his grandparents, Rev.
Bill. ,and Peggy Henderson.
Mr. and Mrs, Spence Irwin, enjoyed a
couple of surprise phonescalls from
relatives they have not heard from for ten
to fifteen years.. The calls included one
from Daisy (Irwin) Ferguson and their
nephew, Wayne. of Tennessee; their
daughter-in-law, Anne Irwin of Oshawa:
and a surprise visit from their grand-
daughter, Janice Irwin from Oshawa. She
spent from Tuesday until Thursday at their
home and visited with other relatives.
Deepest sympathy to Mrs. Ernie Snow-
den and family in the passing of Mr.
Snowden on Thursday at the Wingham and
District Hospital.
We welcome Mr. and Mrs. Leonard
Goodhue from Huron Township to Luck -
now. They have moved into the former Dan
Nicholson home on Havelock Street.
Mrs, James Ritchie observed her 89th
birthday in Wingham Hospital on Sept-
ember 29. Mrs. Ritchie has been a patient'
there for 21/2 years followinga severe
stroke.

, Dorothy and Duffy McQuillin attended
the funeral of their brother-in-law, Ken
Miller of Woodstock, on Friday and Satur-
day, September 28 and 29. He was found
dead in his bed Thursday morning in a
motel room in Clinton due to a heart attack.
Ken worked for Bell Telephone and was
working,in the Clinton area at the time.
Dorothy •and Duffy spent the rest of the,
weekend in Woodstock and visitedwith
their son,daughters and sister and
brothers and their families.
Congratulations' to Ethel Rutherford.•
She celebrated her 89th' birthday on
Friday, October. 5.
John Schlosser spent the holiday week-
end
visiting with his brother, Joe and his
brother, Charlie and his wife, Ruth at R. R.
3, Walkerton.

Mrs, Charles Murray presided and read
a poem and extended .a welcome to all
present. Mrs. Orrie Gingrich read the
minutes of the previous meeting and gave
the financial report.
An invitation was accepted from White-
church to their meeting on October 10. The
roll call was .a favourite memory of the
past. The committee who set up. the display
at the Lucknow fall fair was thanked. The
next meeting will be a community night
and a bazaar:
The- contest was a Homemade -Hallow-
e'en mask. JoAnne and Betty Ann Murray
were the winners.
Mrs. Charles Murray . gave the . motto,

a "reading, A Day Worthwhile.
Mrs. Harold Smith conducted a pop
contest and Charlene McEwan read, A
Boy§ Thanksgiving. Mrs. Murray had a
contest on old time songs 'which was
followed by the courtesies.
Delicious refreshments were served and
a lighted birthday cake and ice cream, as
one of the members had abirthday on that
day.

Mill where Greg Jervis talked about the
computer at the mill, how and why they use
it.
Dungannon C.G.LT.
The Dungannon C.G.LT. have had two
meetings in September. The first meeting
' was an organizational meeting with nine •
girls in attendance. They discussed plans
for the coming year. Things they would like
to do and specs,.; speakers to have.
The second meeting_Qpened with the
purpose and GGIT hymn. Roll call was\
taken with 12 girls in attendance.
They . discussed going to Jamboree in
Algonquin Park. in June and ,CGIT week
from October 14 to 21.
It was decided theywould take part in
the church service on October 14. Also ..
during that week they are having a special
evening, for the mothers and grandmoth-
ers.
The girls worked on a craft to be used on
their speciate evening.
