thur Newbold in, Toronto, Ontario.' She 'is
survived ` by • her husband, three, children -

Calgary, Alberta David Robert fitewbold. of
Merrickville, Ontario; .lour grandchildren -'
ott and Kara of Okotoks;.Rob and Mary

She graduated from Lucknow Public : and
High Schools, then trained •.as a.. nurse:. at.
Hamilton General Hospital. In 1944 she .
.raduated . and received her nurse's
registration and- entered her chosen profes-
sion of service and caring. She; did 4n-

ustrial : nursing . with . Westinghouse in
Hamilton, hospitalnursing, at.: Toronto
Military Hospital . (Christie St.) Where she
met and later married her husband, George.
She did private duty nursing in Toronto until

1960., when she and her husband purchased
and operated Pinecrest Manor ' Nursing;
Home where she -was director of nursing un-
til her retirement froth active nursing in

Mary was extremely active in the Ontario •
Nursing Home Association, particularly . in
the area of education to upgradenursing
standards in the nursing home sector. She
was a member of the Order, of. the Eastern
Star,' Past President -of the ° United Church
Women of the Lucknow United Church, and
. was very active in church groups in Em-
manuel United Methodist Churchin Braden-
ton;Florida during the winter. -
She lived her. Christian beliefs, daily, in a
practical application of her faith, touching
the lives and influencing many through her
completely selfless, thoughtful, loving and
_ caring concern for others, The .world is a--
