The Jungle Book Suite
By STACY COULBECK
and JANINE HODGINS
The Jungle Book Suite Assembly was per-
formed in the gym on May 14, for pupils of
Ripley District and Ripley -Huron Central
SCHOOL NEWS
School. It Was put on by three 'men of the
Outreach Program who were introduced by
Mrs: Judy ' Hawrylyshyn of the Ripley
Public Library. •
They used a cello, electric organ, flute and
drums for musical effects and illustrated
the story with slides. They had tiger,
elephant and wolf masks to make the
animal parts more realistic.
. The story was about a boy who was lost in
the jungle and raised by wolves. Everyone
in the jungle liked him except the tiger. One
night the boy tracked down the tiger, led
him into the water and stabbed him. He then
returned to his friends and lived happily
ever after with them in the jungle.
Everyone, including pupils, teachers and
visitors enjoyed the show. .
