Ezekiel Phillips, who passed
away in Clinton ,Hispital. in his
88th year, after a short illness,
was born in Goderich on May 2$,
1.371., the son of the late Ezekiel
Phillips and Mary _Gallagher. He
attended Fordyce School in West
Wawanosh and was married in
L.uelenow 64 years ago to Margaret
Ellen Medd and took up residence
at Whiteehurch, where his father
and three .brothers were each in
the 'blacksmith trade within a
radius of five miles,
Twelve years later they moved

smith. His son Robert worked

honoured one of its oldest resin

away on Friday, March 27, at SIL.,
Mary's Hospital, London, where he
had 1.)eri a patient for the past
three years,
A son of the late Mr. and Mrs,
Mum, Gibbons, he was born in
Deeember 1862 on the Gibbons
farm in E, Wawanosh, now occu-
pied by his nephew, Thomaa
O'Malley,
Ills first wife Sarah Redmond,
passed away in 1900 and be ,.later
married Catherine O'Malley, who
died in 1,948,• There were no child.

,john Gibbons farmed in E. Wa-
wanosh and moved to Wiligham
years ago. He was a cattle &Over,.
and with a brother' shipped cattle
to the ,Gid Country.
Mr, Gibbons left Whightem font`
years ago, Ho was a member of
Sacred Heart ILO. 'Church. Only
one brother survives, Joseph of
Manitoba.
The pallbearers were his three
nephews, thea. (:)"Malloy, and
James and Cletteriee Gibbons, and
John McCee Chas,' Martin and
Vii Walter a 'WYek. The funeral
was held On Monday morning from
the ft. A,. 'Currie & Sens funeral
home to the sacred Heart 'R.C.
