DODGERS WIN THIRD
IN IVINNAM ARENA
The Len Crawford Dodgers and
the Port Elgin JC's met in the
Wingham, arena for their third
game of the WOAA• Interniediate
semi-finals on. Wednesday night,
The Dodgers Were victorious to
the tune of 64.
Maurice Stainton and Doug Mur-
ray cashed' in for four of Wing-
ham's gdals with two apiece. The
singles were handled by Jim Bain
and Murray Stain,ton, John Nick-,
el .pulled the hat trick for his
lakeshore club While Fred Brown
and Lorne Walmsley fired in the
single tallies.
Jim Bain opened the ,scoring at.
the 2,15 mark when he scored with
his slapshot over centre ice, Port.
Elgin scored the next three goals,
the first coming from Brown un-
assisted, followed by L v L. Walmsley
on a• pass from. Brown and Nickel
from. Bob Wood.
John Nickel added another to
the J'C's tally on Wood's assist and
Wingham came thiough with'two
fast markers in the dying minutes
of the period. Murray Stainton
from Doug Murray and Maurice
Stainton .from brother liturray
made the points.
Penalties went to Cord Cerson
for tripping and Mel Miller for in-
terference,
• The third period put the Dodgers
in the lead with 3 goals to 1 to
make a final tally of 6-5 for Wing-
ham, Doug Murray came up with
two goals, assisted by Murray
