land", and was responded to by
22 ladies. The penny-round-up
:bags were collected, and the nail- •
linery course to he held, March
.12 and 13 was discussed.. It was
decided to have a pot-luck supper
and program on Tuesday, March 31.

FORDWICH—The ladles 'of the
United Church enjoyed a quilting
at their regular meeting held in
the church parlors. The president
and secretary were in charge of
the meeting which opened with the
hymn," When I Survey the Won-
drous Cross". Prayer was offered
by Mrs. A. Gardner.
Mrs. Harbld Wallace read the
Scripture and comments were read
by Mrs. WrLy Cooper. The, -con-
veners from the groups reported
all ladies of the ehtirch were in
favor of the group system. Min-
utes were read and adopted.
It was decided to have a gar-
den party and the tentative date
is June 30th. Mrs, Harold Doig
read a poem, "An Easter Prayer'
The meeting closed with the
singing of "We Give Thee) but
Thine, Own" and prayer ,by":7VIrs.
Glenn Johnston. A social '.half
hour was enjoyed over the teacups.

The CGIT members and- their
leaders and a few 'mothers enjoyed
a bus trip to"Kitchener and were
guests on Mrs. Strivers show,
"Bazaar", Three of the girls were
lucky in bringing home prizes. A
couple of, hours shopping was, en-
joyed and then all sat dowlijo a
idelicious meal.:at, •the. Village;
and, finally went on to the It Ca-
pades, which were thoroughly;.en-
joyed ;by, all. They returribd„ to,
