Wingham Hospital.
It was found that Marion Buck-
ton of Kialoss Township, who was
rushed to London Hospital, is saf-
feting from a brain hemmorhage.
Quite a few gathered' on Friday
evening' in the memorial hall here
for the Institute' concert. Charles
Moore acted as chairman, for the
occasion for a short program and
local talent provided the music
for dancing. Lunch was served.
Following the dance Mr. and
Mrs. Russell Ross found their road
had filled up and Russell was fbrc-
ed to go home 'for the team and
sleigh to draw the car through the
hatd drifts,
Miss Leah Currie, Wingham,
and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Currie
and children spent Sunday with
Mr. and Mrs. Russell Gaunt.
GORRIE—The Gorrie Inter-
County Intemediates led 2-1 in the
best of five series with Teviotdale,
Twregames were played in Harris-
toe last. Week. 'Friday night, score
was Gorrie 5, Teviotdale 2, On
Tuesday night the score was Gorrie

A rink' of curlers from Gorrie,
Herold King, Wes. Galloway, Ken
Underwood and Bill Taylor were

of the Gorrie W.I. was held on
Tuesday evening at the home of
Mrs, W. C. King with the atten-
dance of 26. The president, Mrs.
Glad Edgar presided for business.
COrresPOndence was read by the,
secretary,' Mrs., Clarence Sperling,
including letters, Of "thankS, from
Tywas,.announced that
the. East „Hume. District meeting
would be held in Bluevale on May
14th. Garden Club leaders are
Mrs: Glenn Johnston and Mrs.
Clarence Sperling, Grandmothers
are invited to the next meeting.
Plans were completed for the
sewing course to be held in the
Gorrie community hall, March 16th
to 20th. Hours will be Monday
1.30 to 4 pan.; Tuesday to Friday
inclusive 10 aan. to 4 p.m. This
course is free to anyone wishing
to get instruction in sewing. A
cotton dress will he made by each
person.
The motto '"It's what we learn
after we think we knew it all that
counts", was discussed by Mrs. Mel.
Taylor, who 'said, "In the first
half of bur lives we 'slake mis-
takes :but learn lessons. We shonld
take time' to make friends to read,
to dream a little, to worship; to
love, 'to pray and to laugh".

Walkerton on Thursday. held in
the Legion Hall, with Mrs. Reid
as, chairman. After, a sing-song
Mrs, Reid commended the ladies
for taking the interesting short
course "Sew to Save Dollars".
Many of the dresses and aprons
were modelled by the ladies and a
commentator explained the high-
lights of the articles shown. These
were varied, useful and pretty and
well diiplayed.
This group displayed a dress, ap-
rons, beach coat, and two collars.
