It was found that Marion Buck- ton of Kialoss Township, who was rushed to London Hospital, is saf- feting from a brain hemmorhage. Quite a few gathered' on Friday evening' in the memorial hall here for the Institute' concert. Charles Moore acted as chairman, for the occasion for a short program and local talent provided the music for dancing. Lunch was served. Following the dance Mr. and Mrs. Russell Ross found their road had filled up and Russell was fbrc- ed to go home 'for the team and sleigh to draw the car through the hatd drifts, Miss Leah Currie, Wingham, and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Currie and children spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Russell Gaunt. The president, Mrs. Glad Edgar presided for business. COrresPOndence was read by the, secretary,' Mrs., Clarence Sperling, including letters, Of "thankS, from Tywas,.announced that the. East „Hume. District meeting would be held in Bluevale on May 14th. Garden Club leaders are Mrs: Glenn Johnston and Mrs. Clarence Sperling, Grandmothers are invited to the next meeting. Plans were completed for the sewing course to be held in the Gorrie community hall, March 16th to 20th. Hours will be Monday 1.30 to 4 pan.; Tuesday to Friday inclusive 10 aan. to 4 p.m. This course is free to anyone wishing to get instruction in sewing. A cotton dress will he made by each person.
