Sportsmen Plan Safety Club The Sportsmen's Association held. its regular meeting on Monday night with a good 'attendance. Main topic of the evening was the N.R.A. The Wingham 'boys led in the first three quarters but a see-saw duel occurred in the fourth quarter and Clinton was on top when time ran out. Thus the final score read, Clinton 50-Wingham 49. This team was behind 3-1 and finally managed to tie the score, but in the dying moments of the game Hickey blinked the red light to make it 5-4 for team four, 'Scoring for number two were Strong 3, Vanstone 1, Goal-getters on the winning team were J. Bate- son. 2, L. Hickey 2 and B. Crewsort 1. This important win entitles team four to enter the Huron Zone Recreation play-offs' to be held in Goderich on Saturday, March 7th. The games will start at 9 am, when the local youngsters will play against Goderich. There will also be a Squirt play- off series the same day, sponsored by the Mount Forest Legion in that town. All Squirts born after August 1st, 1948, are invited to try for this team on Thursday, March 5 at 7 p.m. in the Wingham arena.
