A pretty double-ring ceremony
took place on the lawn of, the
bfide's home and "united in mar-
riage Jean Cottrill, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Wm, 0. Cottrill of Tfver-
ton and Jack Tervit, son of Mr''
and Mrs. George H. Tenth, of
Wingham, Rev. Roderick McLeod
of Knox Presbyterian Church offic-
iated and the guests were eater-
tained by the music of Norman-
Marjorie and Joyce McIntosh-
cousins of bride. fit it
The wedding party was led iron)
the house by a slow march played
on the bagpipes by Norman McIn,
tosh, Vows were exchanged beneath
an arch of evergreens ,and white
flowers banked by baskets of white
'and orchid gladioli.
The bride, given in marriage b3
her father, chose a waltz-length
gown of white Chantilly lace over
net with sabring" neckline embroid-
ered in sequins and fashioned with
bouffant skirt and lily-point
sfeeves.,A headdress of white nylon
leaves with seed pearls held her
fingertip veil and she carried a
cascade bouquet of red roses and
white stephanotis.
• Miss Margaret Conway attended
the bride wearing a gown of orchid
nylon chiffon and carrying a cas-
cade bouquet of. yellow roses and
white baby mums. As 'flower girl
Nancy Cottrill, sister of the bride,
wore orchid nylon and carried an
old fashioned nosegay of yellow
roses. Billy, Deans, nephew of the
groom was ring bearer, Ferric
Holmes of Wingham, was grooms-
Man.
Guests attending from a distance
included Mr, and Mrs. Walter
Burns and Mr. Robert Burns of
Windsor; Mr. and Mrs, Robert
Hine, of Detroit and Mr. and Mrs.
Don Hopper of Grand Bend.
For travelling the bride wore a
navy and white dress with white
accessories and a corsage of pink
carnations.

Plans Bake Sale.

Anne gathered for their September
Meeting at the home of Mrs. Don
Kin' 'The president, Mrs. 'Wel-
lington Hargrave, presided„
opened the meeting with a hymn
followed by Scripture reading by
Mrs, Lyle Simmons. Roll call was
answered by 11 members and one
visitor. Final plans were made for
the bazaar, baking sale and sup-
per which will be held in the com-
munity hall, Fordwich, this month
Members were also reminded
that the Little Helpers would have
a booth at the Fall Fair on, Sept.
27.
Mrs, E. Attwell spoke on health,
stressing that overweight was not
good for anyone and that one
„should not live to eat but rather
eat to live. She was thanked by
the president.
The October meeting will be at
the home of Mrs. Roy Simmons,
Several articles were sold from'the
travelling basket. Rev. E. Attwell
closed the meeting with prayer and
lunch was served by the hostess,
assisted by Mrs. Jack King.

Trousseau Tea
Mrs. Harvey Wright entertained
at a trousseau tea on. Wednesday
of last week, in honor of her
daughter Miss Fay Wright,. whose
marriage took place on Saturday.
Pouring tea in the afternoon
were the bride-elect's grandmother,
Mrs. Frank Wright and Mrs. Jim
IVIcBurney, Mrs: Jack McBurney
and Mrs. Daniel Lambkin .served
the guests and Miss Faye Jack
and Mrs. George Mines, an aunt, of
Akron, Ohio, displayed the gifts
and trousseau.
During the' evening tea was
poured, by Mrs. Herb Emmerton
and a great aunt, Mrs. Chester
Cook. Mrs. Jack Sangster, Mrs.
Jack Ferguson, Mrs. Al Jack and
Mrs, Ken Wright served. The gifts
and trousseau were shown by Miss
Faye Jack, Mrs. Bob Harkness,
Miss Audrey Demerling, Mrs.

Walkerton, became the bride of
James Leo Deitner, R.R. 1, Ethel,
son of Mr. and Mrs. James Deitner,
on Saturday, September 6th.
The double-ring ceremony • took
place at 10 a.m, in Mary Immac-
ulate Church, Chepstow, with Rev
Father Gillen officiating. He was
assisted by Rev, Father Durand
of Wingham, who sang the nuptial
mass.
Mrs, George Buhlman provided
the music and sang "Ava Maria"
and "On this Day, 0 Beautiful
Mother".
•'4 Mr. Graff gave his daughter in
Marriage, who wore a dress fash-
ioned on princess lines with a boat
style neck, and lily-point sleeves.
The bodice was trimmed with ir-
rediscent sequins and her tulle
was held in place by a sequin and
veil of imported French veiling
pearl studded tiara. She carried ,a
cascade of red roses and a white,
prayer book.
Her sister, Miss Mary Graff of
Walkerton, was matron of honor
and the groom's sister, Miss Kath-
leen- Deitner of Ethel was brides-
maid. They were gowned alike in
turquoise crystal charm ballerina
length dresses with matching, bal-
.1eros, and wore single strands of
pearls. Their flowers were yellow
mums and white streamers.
The groomsman was Gerald Ryan
of Walton and Harold Walter, of
Chepstow, cousin of the bride was
usher.
Mrs, Graff wore a charcoal
dress with white accessories and
a corsage of red roses. She was
assisted in receiving the guests at
the receetion at the Commercial
Hotel, Mildmay, by the groom's
fnother, who wore a navy dress and
red rose corsage,
On their return from a wedding
trip to Northern Ontario, the newly
married couple will reside on the
groom's farm near. Ethel. For
travelling Mrs. Deitner wore a
fitted off-white suit with Dior blue
accessories and a corsage of red
roses.
The bride has been on the Wing-
ham General Hospital staff fof the
past four years as an X-ray\ tech-
nician.
