elan held their 9th annual reunion

BELGRAVE—The regular meet-
ings of the Woman's Missionary
Society and the Woman's Assoc-
iation of Knox United Church was
held on Wednesday afternoon in
the Church,'Mrs. Kenneth Wheeler
was in charge of the W. A, meet-
ing, openng with a hymn and the
meditation on "Harvest". The roll
call was answered with a, harvest
verse. Reports were 'given by the
secretary and the treasurer. ,
Mrs. Walter Scott opened the
"V.V.IVI.S. meeting with a hymn, fol-
lowed by prayer, and a poem, "Pro-
test". Letters of thanks were read
from Mrs. H. McGuire, Mrs, Rob-
•ert Stonehouse and the Mission
Band. It was agreed by the group
to purchase new .study books for
the Mission Band and the After-
noon Auxiliary.
Mrs. Lyle Hopper reported that
a 150 pound bale had been sent 'to
Toronto. The roll call was answer-
ed with a verse of Scripture, The
offering waS received and dedicat-
ed, Mrs. George Vichie read, "Be-
tween 'Ourselves" written by Archer
Wallace.
Mrs. Herb Wheeler was in charge
of the worship, opening with a
hymn, The Scripture, Psalm 51,
Was read by Mra. C, Coultes.
Mrs. Wheeler read, "A Challenge
to Casual Christians". 'Mrs. Albert
Vincent read an article on "Faith",
