The members of the Kins,men
Club's entertainment cominittee.for,
the Wingham Trade Fair; have
announced 'the booking of-several
interesting acts which will be. pre-
sented during the fair on Thursday,
Friday and •Saturday, June. 5, 6
and 7.
'One of these is "The Fehr' Bs",
consisting of eight trained ' dogs,
trained monkeys and one beau-
tiful OK This act has appeared
on TV's Super Circus and in many
of the reading vaudeville spots in
the U.S,
Hal *Bee, who is also slated for
the entertainment spots in 'the
Trade Fair, is billed as a master
ermilibrist and has appeared on
Super Circus, on Canadian TVoSrer
the CEC hookup and in -.Many
leading night clubs across Canada..

Held at Luckno*
Seven Stouts and three lenders
from Wingham were at Lucknow
at the end..af the week, 'where, a

progress. .Lectures and demon-
strations were given on ,Friday
evening and Saturday, and the
course concluded with a dinner. on
Saturday evening,
The:, course is designed to Pro-
vide' instruction, for Scouts who

seconds. -Examinations an the sub-
jects taught at Lucknow will be
written shortly. Thirty-six Scouts
from, various pointa throughout the
Saugeen. District attended, and the
course was under the supervision
of District Commissioner ! Archie'

Dies at Tillsonburg
The death of a. further regideut
of this 'community, Mrs. Harry W.
White, took place at the Tillson-
burg Hospital on Thuraday of last
week. .
Mrs. White was the former Mar-
garet Reid, daughter of the late
Mr. and Mrs. William Reid of
Wingham, and Spent her early life
here. •
She is survived by her husband
and a, son, George W. White, of
Kitchener' two brothers and two
sisters, Witham,- of Edmonton;
Allan, Detroit; Mrs, Frank Harrod
(Isobel), Port Arthur and Mrs.
Hartley Smith (Audrey) of Tinton- -
burg. ,One granddanghter also sur-
vivor!,
'Funeral Was held in Tillsonhurg
at 2,30 p.m. Saturday, with inter-
ment 'in the:Tillaonburg Cemetery,

when seventeen ladies were pre-
sent. The meeting *as brought to
order with quiet music by Mrs.
Buchanan at the' piano, and the
call to worship- by Mrs H, Timm,
who conducted the 'worship ser-
vice, the theme of which was
"Your Family and the Warld".
The hymn "Happy the. Home
when God Is There", was followed
by the Scripture lesson taken
from Philippians, chapter 3, 'read
by Mrs. Doig. Marking the event
of Mother's Day on Sunday, Mrs..
Timm read three poems entitled,
"Having a Mother", "Her Day's
Work", by Edgar Guest, and
"Prayer for-Mother", as a tribute
to mothers.
, The study book on Japan, was
taken Mrs. Doig, with Mrs,
Timm assistilig with ..questions,
thus the chapter "Youth in the
News" was dealt with in a most
interesting manner. The highlights
of this chapter 'were (1) That the
youth of Japan are looking for-
ward td a new' Japan, and in so
doing, have many changes. to con-
tend with, .many of them proving
more than many of the Japanese
can cope with, (2) That although
the American and Japanese youth
have a much different hack ground
they have many things in common,
such as sports, music, etc, Which
are drawing them together, us is
the work of Christianity. •
Mrs. K. Edgar presided. for the
business part of the meeting,' dur-
ing which it 'was decided to hold a
sale of hoMe made baking the end
of the.moath in the Church hall,
at which tea will be served. This
