Robert Connell, the past presi-
dent, Was in the ehair. Lloyd jas-
per, of Mildmay, past preaident of
the Ontario Federation of Agricul-
ture, was the guest speaker. He
spoke of the Federation as a pro-
vincial and dominion organization,
Mr, Jasper was a representative
for Ontario on the trade mission to
Great Britain last December.
Douglas Miles, agricultural rep-
resentative for Huron County, in
his address, said that getting out
information to the organizations is
a problem. Other speakers were
Winston Shaptan, president of the
Huron County Federation of Agri-
culture; Bob Ca,rbert of CKNX and
Carl, Hemingway, county fieldnian,
who spoke on county achievements.
William Campbell, township de-
legate to the Ontario Federation of
Agriculture convention in Toronto,
gave a report, Elmer Harding is
the township Hog Producers' rep-
resentative. He said the Hog Pro-
ducers Co-op is interested in a qual-
ity product,
Carl Hemingway presided for the
election of officers which result-
ed as follows: Pres., George Ash-
ton; vice-prea, William Campbell;
secretary-treasurer, Warren Zur-
brigg. Township representatives
were 'also nominated.
There was a good attendance and
much interest was taken in, the •an-
nual meeting.

Philip Harding
Dies in Guelph
GORRIg— Philip Harding, for-
merly of Clifford, passed away on
Monday of last week at the home of
his daughter,‘Miss Pearl Harding,
Guelph, in his 91st .year,
He was the only son of the late
Edward Harding and Agnes Wright
and was born in Howick Townshin.
He had lived in Minto Township,
Durham, Toronto, Gorric and Ford-
wich.
His wife, the fotmer Fanny Weirs
Clifford, to whom he was married
in 1900, survives with two daugh-
ters, Mrs. George (Esther) Leslie,
Elmwaod Park, Ill,, and Miss Pearl
Harding, Guelph; two sons, Henry
Harding, Los Angeles and Sam
Harding, Toronto, Two sons pre-
deceased him.
The funeral was held at the Altair
funeral home in Gorrie at 11.30
a,m, Wednesday, with, ReV;. E. C.
AttWell officiating. Interment was
in the Gorric cemetery. Pallbear-
era were four • grandsons, Dennis,
Glenn, Edward and Laurie Har-
ding, Norman Wade and Norman
