Tourney
Overcrowded
A big problem faces officials of
the Young Canada Week pee wee
hockey tournament.
And it's getting bigger, by -the
day.
' Though the tournament is gear-
ed to handle a maximum of 75 pee
wee hockey teams; more than 80
teams have submitted entries. al-
ready.
Yesterday a few more entries
arrived and there is reason to be-
lieve that others will be following,
"We don't know yet what will be
done," said Nip Whetstone, a Com-
mittee member, at mid-week. 'We
hate to turn any team down."
In other years, there was some
talk of playing some 'of the games
at another nearby arena in order
to accommodate the overflow.
Other suggestions have also been
made to solve the problem.
Winnipeg Out
Many will be sorry to 'hear that
the Winnipeg pee wee club will
not be here for the ninth annual

For various reasons, the Western-

ing to a letter received Tuesday
from Vince Leah, Winnipeg sports
Writer.
