SIXTH STRAIGHT
The Wingham Midgets made it
six in a row oni Monday night
when they trimmed the Walkerton
team 5-3, to maintain their unde-
feated record for this season.
Pete Carmichael came through
with the hat trick for the locals
with three goals and an assist. The
remaining two Wingham goals
were scored by Walker and Tem-
pl enian.
The Walkerton squad romped
away to any early lead when they
hanged three in succession after
Wingham's opener, By the nine
minute mark in the third the visi-
tors had the locals tied down on
the rough end of a 3-1 count.
However at 9.07 the Wingham boys
began to dome back and smashed
in four in the remainder of the
frame.

Midgets a 7-3 defeat in Listowel
Thursday night. Listowel went
ahead in the first period by the

Hyrriers notched the Listowel
goals, Gary Templeman bagged

goalie John Morkley was unbeat-

A rink from the Wingham Lad-
ies' Curling Club journeyed to
Guelph on Friday last to a honspiel
put on to entertain sixteen Scot-
tish curlers who are in a curling
tour of Canada. Each club in the
district was represented and the
Wingham foursome proved good
representatives by winning both
games, They reported a very inter-
esting and enjoyable day. The rink
was composed of lead, Mrs. D. Na-
