Community Play holds December workshops The Blyth and District Commun­ ity Play is well underway and play co-ordinator Karen Stewart is inviting everyone with even a remote interest in theatre to join the many workshops being offered. “The workshops are a great chance to get involved. They are an opportunity to experiment with theatre, build self-esteem, and have lots of fun too” says Stewart. Improvisation & Acting Skills on Tuesday, Dec. 1, from7 - 9 p.m.; Theatre Games for the Whole Family on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 2 - 4 p.m.; Paper Costumes on Tuesday, Dec. 8 from 7-9 p.m. will all be led by Jon Oram, the director, on his pre-Christmas visit from England. Michael Taylor, the musical director, is well-known to Blyth audiences. He will be holding a Musical Workshop on Tuesday, Dec. 15 from 7-9 p.m. Bring any instrument^ you play (kazoos are welcome!). All workshops are free, most are open to all age groups, and all will be held at the Blyth Festival Administration Office - June Hill Rehearsal Hall.
