OleleflOGl 523-4820 The Blyth Swinging Seniors met in Memorial Hall on Sept. 23 for a sumptuous pot luck dinner. President Isabel Craig opened the meeting with the singing of "O Canada". Happy Birthday was sung to Feme Howatt and Margaret Nesbit who celebrated their birthdays in August and to Janet Laurie, Jean Nethery and Edgar Howatt who celebrated in September. The September wedding anniversaries were Mary and Lloyd Walden, Alvin and Gene Snell, Bill and Isabel Craig, Jim and Effie McCall and Edgar and Feme Howatt. Several reports were given. It was decided that a treasurer's iRiytlis People June and Ron Foran and June's guide dog, Bud, participated in the Walk-a-dog-a thon in Goderich this past Sunday. It was a glorious day to enjoy the 10 kilometre trek around the out­ skirts of the town and the Foran's raised $812 for the Canine Vision of Canada. The money is used for training guide dogs for the blind. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Caldwell and their daughter Jean spent the weekend at Renfro Valley in Kentucky.
