Anniversary Service at Calvin-
Brick United Church Sunday
morning, May 31 making a cool
dreary morning warm and cheery
inside.
The piano prelude played by
Mrs. Jessie McGee called the
congregation to worship. The
children's choir entered singing
“This is the Day the Lord Hath
Made.”
The service was conducted by
Rev. Peter Tucker, minister of the
Congregation and the sermon was
preached by Rev. John G. Roberts
former minister of the
congregation. The title of his
sermon “A Question of Identity”
was based on Psalm 100 “Know
that the Lord is God it is He that
made us and we are His!” “We are
His people and the flock of His
pasture.”
The choir sang two other
selections “The Tree Song” and “If
I were a Butterfly”. The offering
was collected by Trisha and Sherry
Taylor, Stephen Dow and Jim
McGee.
A large congregation including
many visitors from Knox United,
Belgrave and former members from
Wingham enjoyed hearing Rev.
Roberts back in his familiar pulpit
again.
