NOG 1 HO ’’QUALITY CUSTOM INSTALLATIONS” Belgrave Church decorates with flowers Spring blossoms and lilacs decorated the sanctuary for the Anniversary Service at Calvin- Brick United Church Sunday morning, May 31 making a cool dreary morning warm and cheery inside. The piano prelude played by Mrs. Jessie McGee called the congregation to worship. The children's choir entered singing “This is the Day the Lord Hath Made.” The service was conducted by Rev. Peter Tucker, minister of the Congregation and the sermon was preached by Rev. John G. Roberts former minister of the congregation. The title of his sermon “A Question of Identity” was based on Psalm 100 “Know that the Lord is God it is He that made us and we are His!” “We are His people and the flock of His pasture.” The choir sang two other selections “The Tree Song” and “If I were a Butterfly”. The offering was collected by Trisha and Sherry Taylor, Stephen Dow and Jim McGee. A large congregation including many visitors from Knox United, Belgrave and former members from Wingham enjoyed hearing Rev. Roberts back in his familiar pulpit again. People Visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Ross Anderson on the weekend were Mrs. Doreen (Anderson) Roy and daughters Christena and Emily; Mrs. Sheila (Anderson) Cousins and Mrs. Nancy Ball, Matthew and Alicia. On Saturday evening all attended a surprise birthday party for Richard Anderson at his home in Goderich. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Vincent and Carrie of Milton and Mrs. Sharon Mitchell of Hanover visited on Sunday with their mother Mrs. Leslie Vincent. Mrs. Bill McNair of London and Mrs. Jean Bridge of Brussels visited with Mr. and Mrs. Bert Johnston on Saturday. On Saturday, May 23 Mrs. Jean Wightman of Belgrave was a guest at the wedding of her grand­ daughter Dawn Marsha Metcalfe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Metcalfe, to Kenneth Waldemar Schaus, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Schaus, all of Hanover.
