’Being Ready’,
sermon message
At the morning service on Nov.
10 at the Auburn Missionary
Church, Elizabeth Bowman sang a
beautiful solo entitled ‘My Trib
ute’. She accompanied herself at
the piano.
Pastor Carne's message taken
from Matt. 25: 1-13 was ‘Being
Ready’. We need to wake up. We
need to awake to redemption.
When it comes to spirituality we
are more than asleep, we are dead.
We miss so much when we do not
know Christ as Saviour.
We need to wake up to revival.
Often the Christian life has a ten-
dency to drift. Seniors even have
temptations like skipping prayer
time or skipping Bible reading
time. We need to awake to reloca
tion. The Lord calls us to be ready
for the King is coming. The final
alarm is for us.
On Dec. 1 at 8 p.m. at the
Aubum Missionary Church Rev.
and Mrs. Jim Mac Dowell of Kitch
ener, recently returned after serving
many years in Nigeria, will be
speaking. A Nigerian Fashion
Parade will be demonstrated. This
is very intersting to young and old
alike. Be sure to attend. Enjoy the
warm fellowship.
