The Citizen, 1991-09-11, Page 14PAGE 14. THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 1991. Thresher Reunion lots of fun for everyone Barn Dance Blyth musician Wayne McClinchey was one of the featured performers at the Barn Dance last Wednesday night at the Blyth Community Centre. The event kicked-off the 30th Annual Huron Pioneer Thresher Reunion and Steam Show. Also entertaining were the original Barn Dance performers, Archie Mann, Ernie King and Michelle Freeman. Craft show Getting a leg up The annual craft show is always a huge event at the Thresher Reunion and this year was no exception with some 60 crafters displaying their product and wall-to-wall people. Like having a peek in Santa's workshop the little lady in the centre stops to gaze at the creations of local woodworkers Jo and Bill Landon. Jessie Connolly of Clinton struts her stuff in the nine and under class of the Step Dancing competition held on Sunday at the Thresher Reunion. A peek under the hood The antique cars are always an interesting exhibit for visitors attending the Reunion each year.Old-time fiddler Bert McDonald, 91, was the oldest fiddler to take part in the contest held on Saturday afternoon. The musical part of the Thresher Reunion has become almost as popular as the steam show, and is looked forward to every year by the many who attend.
