Phone 526-7589 Dedication service at Missionary Church A Special occasion was celebrat ed at Auburn Missionary Church on Sunday, Sept. 1 when Anya Margaret May, infant daughter of Marie and Wayne Scott, RR 5, Goderich, was dedicated during the morning service. Pastor and Mrs. Came sang a special duct for the occasion enti tled ‘This child we dedicated to Thee’. Pastor Carne's message, taken from James 4: 13-17 and II Cor. 5: 17 was “The Length of Life”. We would rather reform than be transformed, he said. Our old nature is corrupt and a sinner can do good but it is not good Without the new birth there is none that is good. No one can be the person that God wants him to be without Christ in his life. What is the influence of your life? Sunday evening Sept. 15 at 8 p.m. the Kubassck brothers from Plattsville will be ministering in music and message at the Aubum Missionary Church. These busi nessmen will sing and speak. Computers were moved from the Vanastra campus to the lab at Cen tral Huron Secondary School in Clinton this past July. Now, Ms Black-Lambert said, the people of Huron County have access to 16 IBM computers and eight printers. College level courses are offered at CHSS six days and nights a week and at Goderich District Collegiate Institute and F.E. Madill in Wing ham on Tuesday and Wednesdays. "I believe the Huron County Board of Education and Conestoga College will be a model for joint board college ventures for increased access and service," said Ms Black-Lambert. "In short, for the best use of taxpayer dollars. We are in a position to meet the train ing needs of the men and women of Huron County." Mrs. comfort Adcloba from Nigeria will be at the church. This well- educated lady will tell about Nige ria and the work of the church there. Grandparents Day was celebrated at Aubum Missionary Church with a group of grandparents singing for both the morning and evening ser vices. Pastor Carne's message from II Tim. 1: 1-9 was “How to be great grandparents.” What makes grand parents great? By having a living vital faith which we can pass on to our grandchildren, Pastor Carne said. We must have a follow up. Do we talk to our grandchildren about their spiritual condition? Do we teach our grandchildren about being strong in the Lord? Can we demonstrate strength when we have problems?
