With the Thresher Reunion in town, it was a good day for shoppers as Blyth Soccer League
held its fund-raising Garage Sale at Dickson's Garage on Saturday afternoon.

meets tonight to plan ahead
The Blyth Rutabaga Festival
committee is looking ahead and
gearing up with plans for next
year's big event.
Chairperson for the 1991 Festi

available the end of September.
Coffee Break begins Sept. 25 at 10
a.m. The secretary hours are 8:30 -
5:30 Friday only.
Mrs. Gladys Johnston donated
the beautiful floral basket in loving
memory of her son Don Johnston.
The Teen Club meets Sunday, Sept.
15 at 7:30 p.m. Sunshine Unit
meeting is Thursday, Sept. 12 at 2
p.m.
Jim and Elsie Walsh attended the
50th anniversary for Ned and Doris
Thompson at the "Crystal Palace"
in Mitchell on Saturday evening.

in June, while 283 are enrolled this
September.
Walton Public School attendance
has jumped from 86 in June to 91
when school began September 3.
Due to a large graduating class
and a small enrolling Kindergarten
class, the attendance at East
Wawanosh Public School is down
from 230 in June to 219. In
September of 1990 there were 236
students at East Wawanosh.
Attendance is also down at Hul-
lett Central Public School as a
result of boundary changes, though
the number is higher than originally
anticipated. At the end of the
school year there were 234 students
enrolled, while 226 started classes
this September.

were Science North, the Big Nickel
and a trip across Georgian Bay on
the Chi-Cheemaun.
