People visit area Belgrave beats Belli tore 27-22 Miss Rcta Maihcr of Woodstock spent a few days last week with Harold and Edith Vincent. Murray and Joyce Vincent, Dean, Jayne and Vaughn returned Friday from a trip to the Maritimes. While in New Brunswick they visited with Donald and Carol Vincent and family of Prosser Brook. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Archibald of Seaforth and Bill and Marlene Archibald of Burlington visited on Friday afternoon with Harold and Edith Vincent. Mr. and Mrs. Gamer Nicholson visited recently with Mr. and Mrs. Ron Nicholson who were vacation­ ing al their cottage at Lion's Head. Mr. and Mrs. Gamer Nicholson visited with Dr. and Mrs. Ray Nicholson of Elmira and later visit­ ed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Glyn Wide and family of Hamilton. Summer holiday guests at the Clarence Yuill home, Belgrave were Linda Litchcnbcrgcr, St. Thomas and her daughters Pamela and Abby and David Elliott of Arkona. Weekend visitors included Bruce and Lenor Elliott, Arkona and their family Jennie, Heather and David as well as Gordon and Louise Elliott and baby Kaylee of Tavis­ tock. Clarence Stokes, Wingham and Carman and Wilma Nixon of Lon­ don also visited al the same home. Quite a number of Edgar and Bowman relatives from Edmonton, London, Tavistock, Aylmer, Barrie, Brigdcn, Cambridge, Lucknow, Bly th. Wingham and Belgrave attended the 40th wedding anniver­ sary in honour of Mail and Mary Edgar of Petrolia which was held Saturday, August 25 in the Wyoming Agricultural Fair Build­ ing. Belgrave scored the five runs that would eventually make the difference in the first inning. After holding Bel­ more scoreless in the top of the inning, Belgrave road the home runs of Jason Fear, Derek Marks and Justin Campbell to a five run inning. Also scoring were Craig Marks and Laura Meier. Belmore scored five in the sec­ ond but Belgrave went one better as Cole Vincent, Jim Wray, Travis Campbell, Mathew Bromley, Adam McBurney and Jeremy Leishman scored. Belgrave outscored Belmore 8-5 in the third inning. Justin Campbell hit his second home run of the inning and Craig Marks, Laura Meier, Dan Mullen, Heather Black, Devon Moffatt, Peggy Procter and Cole Vincent also scored. Belmore drew close when it scored six runs in the four': then held Belgrave scoreless in the bot­ tom of the inning. Belmore then took a 22-19 lead with six more runs in the lop of the fifth. But Bel­ grave avoided its first loss of the season by belling four homeruns and scoring eight limes in the bot­ tom of the inning. Jason Fear, Craig Marks, Devon Moffatt and Peggy Procter all hit home runs. Also scoring were Derek Marks, Justin Campbell, Dan Mullen and Heather Black. In the final game, Derek Marks and Craig Marks got the Ken Marks' team off to a quick start in the first inning. Travis Hopper scored for the Hopper team. Justin Campbell hit a home run and Adam McBurney, Mathew Bromley, Heather Black, Devon Moffat, Dan Mullen and Jason Fear scored for the Marks' team in the top of the second. The Hopper team was held scoreless. Admiral Home Appliances win ‘gty Procter and Adam McBur- ney hit home runs to lead the Marks' team to six more runs in the third inning. Also scoring were Derek Marks, Craig Marks, Can­ dace Procter and Cole Vincent. The Hopper team came back with fo ir runs in the bottom of the inning. Scoring were Holly Pfeif­ fer, Travis Hopper, Curtis Knight, and Courtney McGee. TECHNICAL TRAINING OFFERED Well utilized duplicating equip­ ment is used to produce much of the educational material used in schools in Belize, in Central America. But parts and service are difficult to obtain. In 1990, a Canadian organiza­ tion, CODE, provided the funding for a duplicator repair workshop. Partici­ pants from all over the country learned how to disassemble, repair, clean and reassemble the machines, which provide desperately needed learning materials.
