BRUSSELS 887-6303 Members of the Brussels-Walton Trailblazers Snowmobile Club will be looking after the many hungry riders and spectators who have worked up an appetite at the moto cross races this weekend at Chris and Judy Lee's near Walton. The club is manning a food booth at the track throughout the two-day event. Pam Clark, a member of the B-W club, was with the Walton Wom en's Institute when they used to run the food booth at the Lees' races in the late 70's. According to Rick Konarski of RR1, Blyth, who is one of this year's organizers, Chris had permitted the club to run a trail through his property during the sea son, so he was aware of the club and their need to raise money. He and Pam discussed the idea of the food booth as a fundraiser for the club, then she took the proposal back to the membership, who voted in favour, said Rick. The money raised from the booth will be going towards the cost of maintaining the club's hundreds of miles of trails. The food booth will be offering a full breakfast of bacon and eggs Saturday and Sunday morning. It will be open both days at 7 as par ticipants will be arriving early to register, said Rick. Throughout the remainder of the day, there will be back bacon and sausage on buns or hot dogs available, in addition to the typical confectioneries, and cof fee or a choice of cold, non-alco holic beverages. Rick expects to have six or seven people working at the booth at all times. The meals will be cooked in a garage located on the Lee proper ty and picnic tables have been arranged for seating. These will be moved indoors in the event of inclement weather. The booth will close on Saturday at 8 p.m. and on Sunday at 5 p.m. MOTOCROSS COMPETITORS WE HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR STAY VISIT US TODAY FOR •POP ’CHIPS ‘TOBACCO •FILM ‘SNACKS & MORE BRUSSELS VILLAGE MARKET YOUR KSWIWTY Welcomes You to the Motocross Championships ...............WE FEATURE----------- •GROCERIES • PRODUCE •FROZEN FOODS •DAIRY •POP & CHIPS ETC.
