Phone 887-9487 McBurneys hold reunion The 30th McBumey reunion was held in the Women's Institute Hall, Belgrave on Sunday, August 18 with 55 in attendance. Games were enjoyed under the trees conducted by Ron and Jean McBurney with special prizes given to the youngest and oldest, lucky tickets and guessing games. Robyn Garvey and Wilford Snell will conduct sports for 1992. Presi- dent for 1992 is Mrs. Janet Ander­ son with Gwen McBurney, secretary and Neal Hardie, treasur­ er. Lunch committee will be Mrs. June Shiell, Mrs. Agnes McBumey and Mrs. Mary Coultes. Relatives attended from Willow­ dale, Cambridge, Orillia, Komoka, Neustadt, London, Seaforth, Kitch­ ener, Listowcl, Clinton and the Wingham area. Food's on Community honours bride-to-be Belgrave Kinsmen served up a barbecue at the Belgrave arena Sunday afternoon to help raise money for the new addition to the arena. Visitors not only got a chance to enjoy a delicious meal but got a sneak preview at how construction is coming along for the new front for the arena. People visit A miscellaneous bridal shower was held at the home of Mrs. Donelda Cottrill on Sunday, August 18, in honour of Colleen Mills, whose marriage to Dale Lamont takes place September 7, 1991. Muriel Coultes conducted various contests and the address was read by Laura Johnston. Colleen opened the gifts assisted by the groom's mother, Irene Lam­ ont. Colleen made a fitting reply and lunch was served. A special guest attending was the groom's grandmother, Mrs. Winnie Vincent of Blyth. area Belgrave pre-mites, Ken Marks' team, have had a very good ball season ending up with a win for every game. Their ball tournament for the year-end will be in Brussels, August 24. You are welcome to come out and help cheer these youngsters on. Mr. and Mrs. John Little of Edmonton and their daughter Mrs. Harry Hoyer of St. Albert, Alberta were overnight guests with their cousins Mrs. Agnes Bieman and her brother Mrs. George Inglis. Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Inglis and their daughter Grace of Paisley vis­ ited on Saturday with Mrs. Agnes Bieman and Mr. George Inglis. Julie Cloakey of Brussels spent a week holidaying at the home of her great-grandmother Mrs. Olive Campbell and her grandmother Mrs. Ivy Cloakey. Mr. and Mrs. Lome Campbell visited last week with his sister and brother-in-law Mr. and Mrs. John Galbraith at their cottage near Fen- Ion Falls.
