The Citizen, 1991-08-07, Page 18PAGE 18. THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 7,1991. 'WSWM. IN MEMORIAM IN MEMORIAM IN MEMORIAM SERVICES RICE. In loving memory of our dear son, brother, and friend, Todd Rice, who died one year ago - August 12, 1990. One summer's eve, one year ago, God called and took you home. Many tears we cried, we all wished it was just a lie. How could we have known that you would ever say goodbye. Remembering you is easy Todd, we do it everyday. But missing you is a heartache, that will never go away. Today you live on in our hearts through the kindness you showed, the joy that you gave, and the love that you brought to all of us. Todd, you always said that you wanted to be rich, and indeed you were. You were surrounded by a wealth of friends, neighbours and family, who love and remember you today with all their hearts. When times get tough and our hearts get heavy, we have to remember the good times we knew and shared. We remember parties that many friends enjoyed. We remember the tremendous waterskiing done at the cottage, (of course you were the best). We remember rooting for the best baseball team in town, when they almost beat Walton Intermediates. We remember your glory when you played for the Bulls, and got that “shut out”. We remember your love of music, which always seemed to lift your spirits, especially when it was loud. We remember the nights of talking that used to go on forever. We remember the many challenges you faced in your life, but, your ultimate triumph was your constant belief in fairness and friendship. And most of all we remember your smile, that grin that tugs at our hearts, and keeps your memory strong. You have left us with beautiful memories, that we will treasure for ever and ever Todd. You were a very special young man to a great many people. But one thing has made us glad — That you were our son and brother, and we were your family. You are very special Todd, and we will always treasure the time our family spent together. For those who have a son or broth er, love him while you may. For how we wish with all our hearts, that we had ours today. We love you Todd - Larry, Colleen and Shannon. 31-1 RICE. In loving memory of a spe cial friend, Todd Rice, who passed away August 12, 1990. For a moment All the world was right, How could we have known That you'd say good-bye that night. Remembering you is easy We do it every day, Missing you is a heartache That will never go away. But comfort lies within me When God chose you to go, Knowing that you're not alone But with your friends Neil, Scott and Moe. To know you was to love you Both for family and for friend, And the sweetness of your memory Time can neither dim nor end. D I'll never forget you Todd For you were someone so special, someone loved, I'd give the world for you to be here But know you're watching from above. -Forever in my heart, Heather. 31-lp In memory of SCOTTY, TODD and PIPER, August 12, 1990. We miss you in so many ways, We miss the things you used to say, And when good times we do recall, It's then we miss you most of all. - Always remembered by Neil, Joan, Dan, Brad, Randy and Josh. 31-1 FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND. One night a man had a dream He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; One belonging to him, and the other to the Lord. , When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. “Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me . The Lord replied, “My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suf fering, when you see only one set of footprints in the sand it was then that I carried you.” - In loving memory of four special young men, Scott, Neil, Jason and Todd. - The Rice Family. 31-1 VINCENT. In loving memory of a dear son and brother Mike who passed away two years ago August 8, 1989. When family ties are broken, And loved ones have to part It leaves a wound that never heals And an ever aching heart. We cannot bring the old days back When we were all together But loving thoughts and memories Will live with us for ever There will always be a heartache And often silent tears But always precious memories Of days when you were here We hold you close within our hearts And there you will remain To walk with us throughout our lives Until we meet again. - Lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his Mom Joyce and Step-dad Ed, and brother Jeff. 31-lp GRKAT M8ULTSI CLASSIFIED ADS WORK D VINCENT.
