The weather was touch and go but in the end everything went as planned. Jack Broughton of Atwood was lop skip for the after­ noon with three wins and 48 and plus of five. Neil Bell, Seaforth was second. Reg Robinson, Mitchell, was third; Walter Westbrook, Mitchell, fourth; Don Haines, Clin­ ton, fifth; Joe Higgins, Mitchell, sixth; Joe White, Atwood, seventh; Len Brubacher, Elmira, eighth; Helen Haynes, Mitchell, ninth; Cliff Bray, Wingham, tenth. In the bottom 10 were Phil Lea- hey, Elmira; Jack Gilbert, Goderich; Stu Bryans, Mitchell; Dave Miller, Stratford; Doug Kidd, Atwood; Les Douglas, Brussels; Orlan Martin, Elmira; Ed Eckmier, Mitchell; Stan Scott, Elmira; and Pat Rowland. The Bulls played good hosts, losing the game. Blyth teams win, lose On June 18 the Blyth Atom team travelled to Goderich to take on Goderich A team. Goderich went ahead by two goals but the lead didn't last long as Blyth came back with three goals. Jud Hakkers scored on a penally shot and Mat Anderson out-smarted the defence for two goals. Then Goderich scored two more to win the game 4-3. On June 24 Blyth hosted Goderich B in Belgrave which proved to be too much of a match for Blyth. Goderich was the strongest team winning 8-1. Mat Anderson got the lone goal from Steve Raymond. On July 2 Blyth played in Luc­ know. Lucknow got on the score­ board first with three goals in the first half. With just 15 seconds left in the first half April Van Amers- foort got a long pass from Jud Hakkers and kicked it home. In the second half Blyth showed a little more strength but could not over power Lucknow. Jeremy Van Amersfoorl assisted by Jud Hakkers put it in the net on a free kick. Blyth took another loss, 5-2. BLYTH MOSQUITOES On June 27 the Blyth Mosquito team went to Clinton. Blyth was eager after being idle for two weeks. Blyth scored first and there was no looking back. Blyth won 11-0. Goal scorers were, Kurt Lentz, 3; Greg Blok, 2; Christina Black, 1; Michael Court­ ney, 2; Mathew Morrison, 1 and Ronnie Abel-Rinn, 2.
