(Brussels (Public School_____________________ Valedictorian remembers early years It seems like just yesterday we were graduating from kindergarten and - do you remember how we thought it was such a big step for ward? Tonight we are graduating from Public School, another large step, one of many to come. These steps on our ladder of life would not have been possible without the support and guidance from our par ents, teachers and fellow class mates. Through the last nine years the teachers al Brussels Public School and our parents have taught and encouraged us to make wise responsible decisions for our GRADS I / Brussels Graduates The graduates of Brussels Public School were presented with their diplomas at the banquet on Tuesday, June 25. Hopefully with this knowl edge and their continuing support we will be able to reach our goals. I've asked all the graduates what their goals in life are. Most of the students want to be successful and marry rich guys or gorgeous girls. But, from a serious point of view, they all want to extend their educa tion, raise families and have rewarding careers. Our class has always been small, starting kindergarten with 12 and ending grade 8 with 16. Through the years it has been unfortunate for us to have some of our classmates leave Brussels and go on to other schools, but we have also been for tunate to have new students move to Brussels and attend school with us. Being such a small class has taught us to gel along with each other and become good friends. In the years to come when we go our separate ways I hope we will still be able to keep in touch and remain friends. continued on page 20 ...be sure and visit us for your gift-giving needs Oldfield Pro Hardware & Radio Shack 887-6851 Your hometown M salutes your effort. 7 Village of Brussels & Brussels Public Utilities Commission We’re proud of your achievement. , McCutcheon^ MOTORS BRUSSELS 887-6856 Canada Telephone 887-6173 BRUSSELS 887-9740 Best Wishes to our Grads GIFTS AND FLOWERS An excellent selection of fresh cut flowers, plants, silhs and a wide range of gifts for all occasions 887-9731 p; > ‘Bias’ll Young's Clothing pfa-uMccf &- Footwear BRUSSELS 887-9514 \ Z? vf 887-9541
