LET’S PARTY!!!!!!!
No seriously - The reason we're
here tonight, I'm sure you know is
to graduate and get our diplomas.
Most of you are probably happy,
al the thoughts of leaving this
school and proceeding on to a larg
er one. But there may be some of
you who will surely miss public
school. Just think of all the times
we had together, good and bad.
Through all the years of public
school, from when we started
Kindergarten where some of the
students would get upset or even
run home, to now in grade 8. We
have all grown up, and become
more responsible, well not quite all
of us.
There arc many people whom we
have to thank through the years, not
only our parents - for teaching us
our first steps, how to tie our shoes,
and manners. Our teachers for
putting up with us, especially this
year. Mr. Sygrove, who would
never get really angry when we
didn't get our homework done. He
always had the time during class to
slip in a couple of those jokes that
teachers come up with.
Mrs. Hulley now she's a wild
one. You can always tell when
she's around because of her laugh,
even though this school isn't so big
it does seem kind of weird that you
can hear her through the whole
entire building. She doesn't yell -
very often. She usually just gives
you this look that tells you when
you're doing something that she
doesn't approve of.
Then there's Mr. Hooflman, well,
I don't know what to tell you about
him, other than he's another one
who likes to make jokes through
class. It's easy to get out of doing
work in his class, because once you
get him talking, you can't be sure if
he'll ever stop. Although these
teachers sound rather weird, they're
very nice and a lot of fun.
At last the third group of people
that I can think of that we have to
thank is each other, our friends, for
being there through good or bad
times.
Valedictorian, comes from the
word "Valedictus" - meaning
farewell, and that's the reason that
I'm saying this to you, is to do that.
So to all our teachers and friends,
