Phone 526-7589 34 attend reunion The Youngblul family reunion was held in the Aubum Community Hall on Saturday, June 8 with 34 attending. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Patterson of London and Gordon and David Wall of Wingham provided old time music during the afternoon. Marjorie Wall acted as master of ceremonies. Gordon Wall gave a humorous reading. Arthur Youngblut gave several piano solos and Marjorie Wall gave a reading. It was decided to have the next reunion at St. Christopher's Beach, Goderich. A sumptuous supper was served. Guests were present from Whitechurch, London, Wingham, Blyth, Londesboro, Zurich, Goderich, Aubum, Blake and Strat­ ford. WZ meets The Auburn Women's Institute will meet at the Community Hall on Thursday, June 20 at 8 p.m. Mrs. Ethel Ball will be showing her pictures of the Passion Play and her trip to Europe. Phone 523-4360 Congregation enjoys picnic The annual outdoor service and picnic of Londesboro United Church was held at the Hall on Sunday, June 9. Sunday School promotion and award giving was also part of the service. The meditation was on "Sunday School in the Past and Sunday School in the Future". Ken Scott led in the singing. Sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated next Sunday. Paul Ross conducted the Sunday morning service at Knox United Church and Nancy Park was organist. Rev. Ross gave the Prayer of Approach followed by the hymn "Tell Me the Stories of Jesus". Rev. Ross gave the Prayer of Confession and choral response was sung. Rev. Ross gave the Assurance of Pardon and hymn "Jesus Loves Me" was sung. Rev. Ross read scriptures from Exodus and John. The hymn "Jesus Loves the Little Children" was sung. Rev. Ross' sermon was entitled "About The Grace of God". The prayer chorus was sung. The offering was received by Larry Plaetzer and Ian Andrews and was dedicated. The closing hymn was "O Thou Who Makest Souls to Shine" was sung. Rev. Ross pro­ nounced the Benediction and the choral response "O God our Help in Ages Past", concluded the ser­ vice. Next Sunday, June 16 will be Holy Communion. People Mr. and Mrs. Herman Chamney of Windsor visited with Bud and Laura May Chamney on the week­ end. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Allen of Agin­ court visited a few days last week with Mrs. Beth Lansing. All men and women are invited to visit China with Elliott Lapp at the U.C.W. meeting, Monday, June 17 at 8 p.m. in Knox United Church basement. Mr. and Mrs. Brian Craig and family of St. Jacobs spent the weekend at their trailer at RR 3, Aubum. Community to honour brides A miscellaneous shower is being held at the Auburn Community Hall on Thursday, June 27 at 8 p.m. This is for two "Soon to be brides", Lorraine McClinchey and Anita Van Massenhoven.
