May 8, 1991 - A lawn mower was stolen from a garage on King Street in Hensail May 12, 1991 - Theft of wheel, rims on Main Street in Hensall. May 10, 1991 - Theft of a brief case from a car on the main street in Hensall. Theft: On May 19, 1991 three bicycles were stolen from Chiniquay Street in Bayfield. They are as follows: 1 - men's 10 speed, black in colour, homemade; 1 -boy's mountain bike, aqua blue, make Norco; 10 - off road mountain bike, Fluorescent green in colour with black trim and a water bottle carrier. Paul Ross conducted the morning service at Knox United Church Service and Karen Webster was organist. There was early hymn-sing. Rev. Ross gave the Prayer of Confession followed by a choral response. Rev. Ross gave the assur­ ance of pardon. The hymn, "Son of God, Eternal Saviour" was sung. Scriptures were read. The hymn "We Give Thee But Thine Own" was sung. Rev. Ross' sermon was entitled "Who Owns Your Stuff?" A prayer chorus was sung fol­ lowed by the Prayer of Thanksgiv­ ing and concern and the Lord's Prayer repeated in unison. The offering was received by Lawrence Plaetzer and Allan Webster and dedicated. The closing hymn was "For the Beauty of Prairies". Rev. Ross pronounced the Benediction and the choral response "O God Our Help in Ages Past" concluded the service. Californians visit Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Merwin of California visited Tom and Ruth Jardin recently. Mrs. Merwin is Tom's sister. Elliott and Oliver Avery of Toronto visited last week with their grandmother, Dorothy Grange and Bob and Shelley Worsell, Graham and Charlotte while their mother, Jennifer attended a convention in New York.
