In the first day of heats, Kara-Lee Potter of Central Huron Secondary School, won the junior girls 1,500 metres, while former Blyth girl, Vivi­ enne Stephens, brought home two first for CHSS in the senior girls 100 and 200 metres. Rick Howson of Blyth finished first in the senior boys shot put. On Friday,Kara -Lee Potter, won the junior girls 3,000 metres, while F.E. This weekend you can experience the thrill of many Dutch cultural festivities as part of the 11th annual Klompen Feest in Clinton's community park. Come and try the wonderful delica­ cies of slated herring, olliebollen and pastries, and enjoy a time of food, fun music and dancing. See the colours of Dutch costumes, the floats and bands in the giant parade and the display of concessions and arts and crafts. Join in the grandstand show and sing along to Dutch and Canadi­ an songs, including the national anthem of The Netherlands. The Dykehoppers, form London, have been part of Klompen Feest for many years entertaining with their Klompen dancing, fun loving music and good humour. Their guests, a band from the Netherlands, "Hoe We Heten Zyn We Vergetten", will also provide some good entertainment on Saturday. This brass band and colour­ fully costumed group of men special­ ize in Oktoberfest sstyle music. "A Taste of Holland is also the name of a multi-media video being shown in the arena on Friday night at 8 p.m. This sentimental journey through the Netherlands was created by professional photographer Dan Van Polen and is rated as family entertainment. Free admission into the grounds that nights also allows you to view the Dutch costume contest at 7 and the crowing of the weekend Burge- meester (Mayor). Also, try some Dutch treats at the concession and food booths. New for the children this year is an art fair.
