Success story,
sermon topic
Rev. Paul Ross conducted the

Acts and John. Mrs. Bernice Gross
played a piano instrumental. The
hymn, "The Spacious Firmament"
was sung.
Rev. Ross's sermon was entitled
"A United Church Success Story".
A Prayer chorus was sung. Rev.
Ross gave the Prayer of Thanksgiv
ing and Concern and the Lord's
Prayer was repeated in unison. Rev.
Ross spoke on "The Hom of Africa
Appeal". The offering was received
by Peter Verbeek and Ian Andrews
and for the Sunday School brought
forward by Leanne Vincent and

life". Rev. Ross pronounced the

news
Deborah Rodges ministered in
music on Sunday, May 5. She and
her husband David will soon be
leaving from New Tribes Mission,
Durham, Ontario for further study
in the United States.
Rev. Camc's message was "By
chance or choice" taken from
Romans 11: 22-36. Someone has
said "If there is no God there needs
to be". Some people think they
don't need God: they never read the
Bible, they never pray, they never
attend Church, they arc a god unto
themselves, but when tragedy
strikes the veneer is gone. Is there
not more to life than this? If we can
accept by faith God’s plan though
we don't understand it, our despon
dency will vanish. God is never
late.
Everyone is invited to attend all
services. Mother's Day service is
on Sunday, May 12 with guest
musicians Don and Betty Mcdon-
ald. All mothers will be honoured.
