Now a resident of Blind River, the young pianist combines a career of teaching music with concert performances. Volunteers make Festival Those concerned with recycling will get a chance to recycle their old books at the annual Gigantic Book sale of the Blyth Festival May 25 at Blyth Memorial Hall. "Now is the time for spring clean ing and were happy to take your bld books that you might want to give away," says book sale organizer Mar ian Doucette. "We hope to accom plish two things at once: recycle books that would otherwise stay in someone's attic or bookshelf and improve the selection of books for our patrons." All proceeds of the sale go to the Blyth Festival. The book sale, billed as Huron County's biggest, has become a popu lar event over its long history offer ing free admission and a chance to browse for hours. This year it will only be held on the Saturday. Also featured will be a pancake breakfast from 8-10 a.m. and a lunch counter featuring gourmet delights. Behind the scenes tours of the Festival, including the new building opened last year, will also be available. Drop-off points have been set up for books throughout the county. In local communities books can be left at: Beck’s Variety in Belgrave; The Festival Box Office in Blyth; Mait land Valley Insurance and The Citi- zen in Brussels; The Clinton News-Record in Clinton and Wing ham Stationery in Wingham.
