GENE KRUSE A long struggle with illness, bome with courage and strength, ended Monday, April 22, when Sydney Gene Kruse passed away at his resi dence, RR 5, Wingham. He was in his 41st year. Gene was bom in Seaforth on Sept. 7, 1950, a son of the late George Kruse and Jean Dungey. He attended elementary and secondary schools in Seaforth and graduated from Lon don's Fanshawe College as a licenced electrician. He was employed by Pfaff Electric of Exeter. Gene was a member of the Wingham United Church and an associate member of the Seaforth Legion Branch. Many friends and family members are grieving his death. Missing him most will be his wife, the former Sheila Blake of Blyth, whom he mar ried in Blyth United Church in 1975 and their son, Dcric, at home. He was the dear brother of George of Bay field; Laurie of Egmondville; Mrs. Brian (Heather) McMichael of Strat ford; Paul of Clinton; Roy of Calgary and Tim, RR 5, Seaofrth. Also sur viving are his parents-in-law, John and Reta Blake of Blyth; five nieces and 15 nephews. Gene was predeceased by both his parents in 1987 and by his brother, Richard, in 1989. Complete funeral service was con ducted by Rev. J. Rea Grant at three o'clock on Wednesday, April 24, at the McBumey Funeral Home, Wing ham. Interment followed in Maitland Bank Cemetery, Seaforth. ness was to decide on a cover for the books. There were four covers to choose from, all artistically complet ed by members. The lesson consisted of an exercise to determine what exercises arc suit ed to each of the members' personali ties. Questions asked to the members dealt with aspects of personality including competitiveness, risk tak ing, sociability and aggressiveness. How the questions were answered by each member was compared to a chart which listed sports suited to each personality. The members were then asked if the results they received surprised them or if the list of sports was comparable to what they normal ly participated in and enjoyed. The meeting then moved to Vanas- tra where the members had a half hour of water workout led by Angela Reid who put them through their paces. Then the members had another half hour of free swim. MEETING 4 The fourth meeting of the Londes boro Fitness Club was held on April 3 after school at the Hullett Central School. The members enjoyed a nutritious snack of vegetables and dip, then completed a crossword puz zle that tested their knowledge about nutrition. The meeting was then opened with the 4H pledge. The roll call question was to tell what was eaten for breakfast and to tell if the members thought their breakfast choice was nutritious. The minutes of the last meeting were read and accepted. The business of the day was to discuss the achievement day which is to be held on May 5. The members will be taking part in the Great Canadian Ride for Cancer that will be held in Clinton. The lesson material involved the showing of a film that dealt with nutrition and how to eat right. It discussed the basic components of a good diet that our bodies need to build and repair them selves. It dealt very well with the basic knowledge of a good diet. The last part of the meeting was a game of tic tac toe which tested the knowl edge gained by the members from the video. The meeting was closed with the 4H motto.
