Madill teacher visits Club 284 makes first draw BY HEATHER SOMERS AND WENDY THOMPSON On Friday, April 5 the Grade 7/8 class had a visitor from F. E. Madill Secondary School. Our visitor was Mrs. Linda Elston; she teaches advanced math classes and guidance classes. She gave us two work sheets, one involving integers and the other a problem solving sheet. Mrs. Elston also gave some very important, valu able points for the grade 8 students to know for next year. At the high school the teachers are very strict about homework. In the English class, if the homework that was assigned the night before is not done your mark drops one grade. At the beginning of the year Mrs. Elston gives everyone 30 free marks. Every morning she checks to see if the homework is done and every time it isn't done she takes five marks off the 30. The grade eight students have been to one orientation night at the high school in January.
