Seat belts save lives of 3 teens The Wingham OPP have attribu­ ted the use of seat belts with saving the lives of three Goderich teens who were involved in a single vehicle accident on Highway 86 on Sunday evening. A spokesperson for the police said that Peter Keogh, 18 and his two passengers, 15-year-old Donna MacAuley and Steven Saunders, 16, were travelling east on High­ way 86, near the Huron-Bruce County line at about 8:25 p.m. when the GMC pickup truck they were in entered the north ditch. The truck then struck the side of a driveway, flipped end over and end and came to rest upside down on a tree stump pinning the two passengers. Wingham Fire Department were called on to extracate the teens. All three were taken by ambulance to Wingham and District Hospital where they were treated for major injuries. BEATRICE L. RAYNARD Beatrice L. Raynard, the former Beatrice L. Alexander passed away at Hillside Nursing Home, RR 5, Stratford on Friday in her 52nd year. Surviving is her husband Joe Raynard of Listowel, one daughter Darlene and her husband Lee Hayden of RR 1, Ripley and one son Dwayne and wife Laurie of Brussels; one grandson Adam Hay­ den; her parents Stanley and Helen Alexander of Ethel, one sister Dona and husband Jim Knight of Brus­ sels and two brothers Bob and Joyce Alexander of Ethel and John and Lois Alexander of Clares- holme, Alberta; several nieces and Verstoep, Hazel McKenzie, Jean Roloff, Isabelle Bremner, Ross Stephenson, John Subject; lucky tally cards, Verna Crawford, Jeanne Ireland, Dorothy Hamilton, Iola Subject. / PEOPLE Wilfred and Laura Strickler visit­ ed Mrs. E. Waddell in Fullarton on Sunday afternoon. Margaret is making good progress following an operation on her broken hip. nephews. There was a family service and commital on Saturday, April 20 at 1:30 from the Peebles Funeral Home, Atwood. Spring interment will be at Mount Pleasant Ceme­ tery, Ethel.
