But before playing began chairlady Dorothy Dilworth extended thanks and ap­ preciation to all who had helped with the downstairs renovations. Grey Twp. Reeve Leona Arm­ strong gave a little history of the Ethel Hall and well expressed the township’s appreciation for all the help. Helen Cullen, council repre-Sounds sensational sentative on the Hall board also spoke. The Hall Board is planning to have occasional euchres during the summer months to raise additional Soundsation performs at an appreciation night for the Town and Country Homemakers at Blyth Memorial Hall Friday night. The choir and band entertained about 300 people In the theatre.W ? yo u r mo v e . funds for more renovation and hall upkeep. Euchre winners were: high lady, Helen Dobson; low lady, Helen Alexander; high man, Jack Cox; men’s low, Bill Beirnes; lone hands, Lois McLean, John Bell and Charlie Harrison. Lucky table win­ ners were Iola Subject, Betty Krotz, Adrian Verstoep, and Bob Leslie. Several lucky tally prizes were also handed out. The last euchre for the Ethel W.I. will be held April 29 at 8:30 p.m. Congratulations to Carl and Mary Ann Miners on the arrival of a new grandson. Sympathy is extended to Stan and Helen Alexander on the recent loss of their daughter Beatrice Raynard. W.I. MEETS Mrs. Cecil Raynard hosted the annual meeting of the Ethel W.L Tuesday evening at her home. Mrs. Larry Keffer was returned as president for another term of office. All the year’s reports were given and fees paid for the new year with 10 members joining. A discussion ^as held to finalize plans for the Masonic Lodge supper being cater­ ed to April 20. A planning meeting to make up the program for next year will be held at Mrs. William Dobson’s April 24 at 8 p.m. It was decided to raise the catering prices for the next year. Suppers will now be $7 per plate and lunches $4. The payment of mileage and speakers’ gifts will remain the same. All the corres­ pondence was read and dealt with, making note of a new Huron County Historical Society Secretary being Doris Harrison of Goderich and the Tweedsmuir curator’s fee is to be paid for the 1991-92 year. Delegates to district annual at Bluevale May 14 will be Mrs. Archie Jacklin, Mrs. Larry Keffer and Mrs. William Dobson. The May meeting will be on GST at Mrs. William Dobson’s home.
