Teams battle for WOAA title
"Drive a Little - Save a Lot"
The battle for WOAA senior
hockey supremacy goes to a fifth
and deciding game Friday night
when the Durham Thundercats
host the Arthur Tigers.
Home ice could be the deciding
factor as all games in the series
have been won by the home team,
8-2 and 4-3 in Durham and identical
scores of 8-1 in Arthur. Both teams
have posted 11 win - 3 loss playoff
records.
This is the first trip to the Grand
Championship for the Arthur club
while Durham won the title in 1989.
Only once in the past 10 years has
the final playoff series went to a
deciding game. In 1988 Brussels
defeated Lions Head in a controver
sial five-game series. Game time is
8:30 o.m.
