Junior Farmers -- better than
ever! No other organization for
youth in Ontario is more proud of
its past, is more exciting and full of
vitality in the present or has the
potential for a brighter future than
the Junior Farmers’ Association of
Ontario.
For the last 70 years young
people between the ages of 15 and
29 have been meeting to explore
common interests, to organize a
Health services
meeting, Apr. 25
A public meeting to review
health and social services liaison
needs in Huron County has been
scheduled for Thursday, April 25,
at the Clinton Town Hall.
The meeting has been called in
response to a mandate given to the
Huron Health and Social Services
Liaison Committee at the time of its
creation in 1989-90. The agenda
includes a report on activities to
date and invites additional public
input. The mandate and member
ship of the committee will be
reviewed.
The matter of how to co-ordinate
health and social services delivery
in Huron County has been the
subject of much controversy over
the last 25 years in the County. A
District Health Council has never
been seen as acceptable to Huron
County medical and municipal
officials. Consumer groups have
tended to support the need for
formal co-ordination of service
delivery over the same time period.
The meeting will provide one more
public opportunity to discuss health
and social services co-ordination
activity.
great variety of fascinating activi
ties and to enjoy the friendship and
company of their peers. At the
same time they have found them
selves learning skills of leadership
and becoming involved in their
local communities thus fulfilling
the motto of the Junior Farmers’
Association of Ontario - "Self Help
and Community Betterment.”
