WI plans luncheon The Walton Women’s Institute have planned for a noon luncheon on Wednesday, April 17 at the hall. This month convenors will have turkey stew and beef stew starting ‘The Risen Christ topic of minister’s sermon Duffs United Church celebrated the second Sunday of Easter at the morning service on Sunday. Rev. Bonnie Cole Arnal conducted the services. The children’s time story was “Guessing and Believing”. The sermon was, “The Risen Christ in our Midst.” The organist for the hymns was Glenda Carter. Cindy McCallum read scripture lessons and “Minute for Mission” was taken by Sharon Godkin. The offering was received by Lavem Godkin, Ross Bennett and Camp­ bell Wey. In the announcements the Unit I U.C.W. meeting will be held at church, Wednesday, April 10 at 8 p.m. Walton II at the home of Kathleen Williamson. For the last 70 years young people between the ages of 15 and 29 have been meeting to explore common interests, to organize a Health services meeting, Apr. 25 A public meeting to review health and social services liaison needs in Huron County has been scheduled for Thursday, April 25, at the Clinton Town Hall. The meeting has been called in response to a mandate given to the Huron Health and Social Services Liaison Committee at the time of its creation in 1989-90. The agenda includes a report on activities to date and invites additional public input. The mandate and member­ ship of the committee will be reviewed. The matter of how to co-ordinate health and social services delivery in Huron County has been the subject of much controversy over the last 25 years in the County. A District Health Council has never been seen as acceptable to Huron County medical and municipal officials. Consumer groups have tended to support the need for formal co-ordination of service delivery over the same time period. The meeting will provide one more public opportunity to discuss health and social services co-ordination activity. great variety of fascinating activi­ ties and to enjoy the friendship and company of their peers.
