There was another sure sign of spring Monday as tickets went on sale for the Blyth Festival. By
the time the box office opened at 9:30, the lineup stretched nearly out to the street as early birds
booked their favourite seats.

John and Teena Claus, new
Blyth residents held open house at
their Hamilton Street home on
Saturday, March 23. John and
Teena welcomed their new neigh
bours and family to a tour of their
new home. A lunch was served by
family members. Mr. and Mrs.
Claus lived in Fordwich before
retiring in Blyth. Blyth welcomes
John and Teena to our community
and wishes them health and happi
ness in their new home.
Harve and Feme McDowell re
turned recently from a month’s
vacation at Indian Shores, Florida,
on the Gulf of Mexico near St.
Petersburg. In their spacious con
dominium they were able to accom
modate several members of their
family and grandchildren. During
the first week, Larry and Janice
Robinson, Brad, Brent and Sherri
of Belgrave visited. They enjoyed
the dog races, Gator Jungle and
Disney World but then received the
sad news of the sudden death of
Larry’s father, Roy Robinson and
returned home immediately.
During the Winter Break, Don
and Liz McDowell, Jill and Craig
from Kitchener arrived, as well as
Carol and John Spadoni from Sault
Ste. Marie. The following week,
John and Norma McDowell and
Edythe Smith (Norma’s mother) of
London flew down for a week.
Being close to the spring training
quarters of the major league ball
teams, they saw several ball
games, especially the Blue Jays at
Dunedin which is just a few miles
from Indian Shores. The holidays
were spent visiting Busch Gardens,
