Fischer, Harold Metcalfe; wearing

St. Patrick’s Day, Adrian Verstoep;
ladies’ hidden score, #73, Shirley
Verstoep; men’s hidden score, #64,
Donna Moore; oldest Irish lady,
Violet Smith; oldest Irish man,
Bill Beirnes; lucky table, Jim and
Violet Smith, George Pearson and
Marguerite Beirnes. The next
euchre will be April 1 at 8:30 p.m.
hosted by the Ethel Hall Board.
Guests from Molesworth, Ford-
wich, Crar’brook and Majestic
W.I.s attended the Ethel W.I.
meeting. Diane Aitken from the
Huron County Health Unit spoke
on breast cancer and the impor
tance of breast self-examination.
Jean Smith reported three more
girls are needed to begin the
babysitting course. Members are
planning to attend the Blyth Festi
val sometime this summer.
Mrs. Mildred Gill, a long-time
W.I. member has moved to the
Callander Nursing Home in Brus
sels.
Myrle Bowes gave the smile and
lunch was served by Joan Smith
and Pat Keffer.
The next meeting will be the
annual meeting with all reports
due.
Even though the weather was
inclement a lot of folks attended the
Maple Keys Pancake Day. The
Ethel W.I. ladies were pleased with
the attendance and wish to thank
all the 4-H club girls: Amy and
Angela Terpstra, Priska Menzi,
Barb Alexander, Heather Dobson
and Kathy and Becky Earl who lent
a hand during the rush time. They
certainly were appreciated.
Congratulations to Alice and
Lloyd Keffer who have a new
grandson, Benjamin Aaron, son of
Dan and Brenda Keffer.
Welcome to a new boy for Mr.
and Mrs. Mario Balona of RR 1.
Ethel.
Pamela and Alvin McLellan have
been vacationing in Las Vegas.
Jim and Sharon Dobson have
also spent a few days in Las Vegas.
