In an all too familiar scenario, Wallace’s Todd Norman tied the game with five and a half minutes left in the game and then jumped on a loose puck to score the winner with only 21 seconds left in the game. This 7-6 win gave Wallace the series, 3 games to 1. Credit should go to the Blyth Pee Wee’s who played as a team although they were unable to stop Wallace’s resident star Todd Norman. Wal lace scored 20 goals in the four game series with Norman scoring 15 goals and assisting on three others. One telling statistic proving that Wallace is a one man team is that 11 of Norman’s 15 goals were unassisted efforts. The two games in Blyth were very entertaining and the many Blyth fans were treated to some exciting hockey by both teams. Blyth now enters their group playoffs which should get under way next week.
