The Bulls won the game 6-3 then wrapped up the series with a win Friday in Goderich. The Bulls play Hanover Barons in the league final starting Friday in Hanover. Brussels Bulls completed their sweep of Goderich Sailors in Wes­ tern Jr. C. action Friday and now gear up to play Hanover Barons beginning Friday in Hanover. Tuesday night saw the Bulls travel to Goderich for game two of the best seven series. Sam Kulafofski opened the scor­ ing at 15:40 with assists going to Ron Strome. However, Goderich tied the score as Shawn Talbot scored with assists going to Jeff Jewitt and Kevin Mcllwaine at 15:25. The first period ended tied 1-1. Jeff Douglas scored a power-play goal at 16:56 from Brett Long and Brett Martin. Kevin Mcllwaine tied the score at 12:41 from Jewitt and Byron Bowman. Jeff McKee gave the Bulls a 3-2 lead after 40 minutes, assists going to Steve Fritz and Jason Baier. Twenty-three seconds into the third, Corey McKee scored on a pass from Steve Fritz and Jeff McKee. Marty Rutledge scored a power-play goal at 8:56 from Jeff McKee. Dean Lawrie scored for Goderich at 10:42 from Daryl Durnin and Jason Flett. Brussels got that goal back at 12:02 as Brett Martin scored a short-handed goal on a pass from Paul Brophy. Jason Millian scored the final Goderich goal at 12:54 a power-play goal from Kevin Mcllwaine and Scott Jewitt. Steve Fritz scored the final goal with assists going to Jeff McKee and Marty Rutledge at 13:16. The Bulls won the game 7-4 and took a 2-0 lead in the series. Thursday, Brussels hosted God­ erich in game three. Goderich scored their only goal of the first period as Daryl Drunin scored from Dean Lawrie and Garth Jensen at 5:05. The Bulls got on the score­ board at 16:17 as Shawn Chipchase scored from Tim Tyrell and Brian Zabel. Marty Rutledge gave the Bulls the lead at 13:45 with assist from Corey McKee. Paul Brophy scored from Jeff Douglas and Greg McNevan at 8:41, but Goderich scored a power­ play goal at 6:17 as Jeff Gough scored from Ian Bowman and Scott Jewitt. The second period ended with the Bulls holding a 3-2 lead. Jeff McKee scored 1:32 into the third on a pass from Marty Rut­ ledge and Steve Fritz. This com­ bination scored again at the 15:13 mark as Steve Fritz scored from Jeff McKee and Marty Rutledge. Jeff Doulgas scored with 4:40 left from Paul Brophy. Dean Lawrie completed the scor­ ing in this game at 3:47 with assists from Jeff Jewitt and Jeff Gough. The Bulls won game three 6-3 and took a three game stranglehold on Goderich. Friday, the Bulls played in Goderich. Jeff Jewitt scored at 10:05 from Greg McNevan. Brett Long scored from Craig King and Ron Strome at 8:28. Period one ended 2-0 for the Bulls. However, Goderich was not done yet as each team exploded for four goals in period two. Daryl Durnin scored Goderich’s first goal from Jason McNichol and Richard Bowman at 2:15. Jeff McKee got that goal back at 2:41 with assist going to Steve Fritz. Shawn Talbot scored at 4:14 from Ian Bowman. Brian Bowman scored two goals in a row to cut the Bulls’ lead. Marty Rutledge scored a short- handed goal at 10:01 from Jamie Gibbings. Jeff Jewitt scored his second goal of the game from Jason Baier and Brian Zabel at 11:07.
